The CSIR participated in the biennial Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) Expo in Pretoria in September 2016 with a focus on critical, strategic defence domains – and projects that offer opportunities for the establishment of technology-based enterprises and industry partnerships.
The CSIR presented its work in domains such as maritime research, aerospace technology, defence and safety, trans-border crime and counter-poaching, health and soldier safety, advanced manufacturing, modelling and simulation platforms, cyber defence and industry development programmes.
